Laundry Mistress is pleased to provide professional pickup and delivery laundry services to our customers and offers quality and convenience at an affordable price. Our services are subject to the terms and conditions below. Your use of Laundry Mistress indicates your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions contained here. Please read the following provisions carefully and let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to doing business with you!
We are always improving our service so these terms may need to change along with our service. We reserve the right to change the terms at any time.
Should you not agree, you are free to reject them. Upon rejection of the terms you will no longer be able to use our services. Changes are effective immediately; use of services in any way after a change to the terms is an agreement to all changes made.
You will be asked to provide certain details prior to use of our services. It is a condition of use of our services that all the information you provide is accurate. If it isn't current and accurate, Laundry Mistress has the right to deny service.
Laundry Mistress is responsible for establishing routines with respect to your service needs such as pickup and drop off schedules, specific laundering instructions and personal preferences. Laundry Mistress has control over the means and methods of providing service as well as the products used in your laundering service, however, is held to a high standard of customer service and quality care established by Laundry Mistress. If you ever have a compliment or concern with your services please do not hesitate to contact Laundry Mistress at the contact information provided.
All services will be provided by Laundry Mistress and a predetermined day/time and frequency will be agreed upon by both parties (you and Laundry Mistress) except on certain holidays. Laundry Mistress or you may change the predetermined pickup and delivery times with advance notice by either you or Laundry Mistress. We require at least a 2 hour notice prior to any change.
It is under your discretion to leave your items in a secure location for pickup along with a description of the location which you will provide to Laundry Mistress. Items left for pickup are not under our care until we have picked them up. Items left for delivery at the predetermined location will also not be under our care once they have been delivered to the agreed upon location. Laundry Mistress is not responsible and shall not pay for any loss, damage or theft of items left unattended by the customer for pickup or delivery. Please choose a secure location and as outside of public view as possible.
Service Turnaround: Services will be provided in either a 2 day turnaround or next day from the date of pickup depending on the following criteria:
If pickup or delivery is missed you must coordinate with Laundry Mistress to reschedule. You may be subject to a missed pickup/delivery fee of $20 if you fail to notify Laundry Mistress of the delay or do not provide at least 2 hour notice prior to the scheduled day and time.
By placing an order for service, you agree to pay for services provided. Prior to our acceptance of your order, there is no agreement between you and Laundry Mistress. Once we have accepted your order for pickup and delivery to your chosen location, you will receive electronic confirmation that your order has been accepted. Upon pickup Laundry Mistress will confirm weight (lbs) and send a price estimate. Once your order has been processed you will be sent an electronic notification which will include your final price and a window of time for delivery.
Laundry Mistress offers cash and e-transfer payment for residential customers only. Commercial contracts TBD.
The customer agrees NOT to include any of the following items inside their laundry bag:
Laundry Mistress reserves the right to charge for any services or products needed to mitigate damages caused to workspace, vehicle or physical body and may include compensation for the time required to remedy the situation. Laundry Mistress also reserves the right to terminate the agreement of laundering upon discovery of contaminated items and return unprocessed laundry back to pickup/delivery location with a trip fee of $35.
Laundry Mistress is committed to providing quality customer service and will take reasonable precaution to avoid damage to laundry articles however, we are not liable for damage to items while using standard laundering practices. Such practices used will be as follows:
Any and all articles will be machine washed and dried using heat unless otherwise stated. If you include items such as cottons and other natural fibers it is recommended that you let us know if you would like special care taken otherwise they will be laundered as stated above. If delicate care items are included in your order, YOU will be responsible for separately bagging and marking them as such. This is to avoid colour bleed, shrinkage or any other damage resulting from standard laundering procedures.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ALL POCKETS AND REMOVE ITEMS BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED PICKUP. By confirming pickup and delivery of laundry, you have confirmed that this has been done and that Laundry Mistress will not be liable for any damage.
Standard laundry procedures are defined as sorting by color, washing laundry in a washer with detergent and water and drying laundry in a dryer, with heat. Should damage occur from this procedure, Laundry Mistress will not be liable. Please make clear any special instructions prior to time of pick up either by electronic communication or clearly marking the bags containing special instruction items.
Laundry Mistress will follow any reasonable instructions provided by the customer including water and drying temperatures. We are not responsible for special care items such as dry clean only items included in the bag.
Although Laundry Mistress will use best efforts to remove stains but stain removal is NOT guaranteed.
Customer acknowledges that items that have been air dried (by customer request or Laundry Mistress determination of best care for the item) may be damp upon delivery. These items will be bagged separately and marked "damp".
The customer is responsible for any and all damage caused by any items left in their clothing or laundry bag that causes damage to the clothing, cleaning machines or vehicle.
Zippers are generally not an issue, however can sometimes be unpredictable. Customer acknowledges that there is a possibility of zipper issues. Laundry Mistress will not accept liability for zipper issues or damage while using standard laundering practices.
